Top Anti-Aging Foods & Drinks

Anti-aging foods help your body fight off damages caused by free radicals and aging process. Eating the right foods makes your skin appear young and beautiful. Just add them into your daily meals and they will take years off of your appearance.


Avocado is rich in monounsaturated fat that helps reduce bad cholesterol and toxins in the body. Avocado also contains significant amount of vitamin E, one of powerful antioxidants. Vitamin E fights free radicals that age your skin and maintains a healthy skin.


Berries such as blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, strawberries and black grapes are full of flavonoids. These flavonoids are antioxidants that help protect your body and skin from the damage caused by free radicals.

Green Vegetables

Green vegetables such as watercress, arugula, dandelion greens, kale, spinach, collard greens, mustard greens, and broccoli are rich in vitamin A, C, E, and K, folate, iron, and calcium. Focus on leafy or deeply colored vegetables because of their high vitamin A content. Green vegetables are also one of top foods that increase collagen.


Cold-water fish such as salmon are in omega-3 fatty acids and high quality protein which benefit your skin. Eat salmon at least three times a week and you will see plumper, more youthful skin in about six weeks.


Most varieties of nuts are good sources of minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. Nuts are also full of good fats that help plump your skin. Walnuts are rich in omega-3 fatty acids that prevent sagging skin and dehydration.

Green Tea

Green tea contains a powerful antioxidant which slows down the skin aging process. Drink four cups of green tea a day to aid anti-aging process.


Water helps get rid of toxins and unwanted waste materials from your body. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day in order to remain healthy and hydrated.

Red Wine

Red wine contains catechins and resveratrol which have many anti-aging properties. Red wine is another great source of antioxidants.


Beans such as red kidney beans, black beans, and soybeans are a great source of healthy protein and antioxidants. Soybeans are also linked to anti-aging properties. Eat a few bean-based entrees a week.


Yogurt has anti-aging properties. Recent studies have shown that live active bacteria in yogurt have positive effects on overall health and longevity.


Tomatoes are loaded with lycopene. The body uses lycopene to fight free radicals and inhibit sun-induced aging.
